Hailing from Seward, Alaska; Blackwater Railroad Company’s wild energy defies expectations. Bordering bluegrass and saxophone driven roots-rock; the band is inspired by the spirit of the 49th state, where endless daylight leads to boundless joy. With their large body of recorded work and years of international touring, Blackwater sets themselves apart as stewards of the great northern traditions of hard work, shameless jubilation, and love for the open road. Their new album ‘Caravan’ is set to be released this May. Their first full album since ‘A Lovely Place to Die’ released in 2024, ‘Caravan’ ties together the adventurous spirit of Alaska, the joy of dancing on mountaintops, and the heartache of a life in motion.
